What is the Forest Stewardship Council?
The FSC is a global organisation that has been committed to harvesting materials from forests whilst ensuring they remain sustainable for more than 25 years. Becoming a member company of the FSC is completely voluntary, but all members must abide by a set of 10 key principles & 70 individual criteria to remain a member.
Some of the principles include:
- Enhancement or maintenance of social & economic wellbeing for workers
- Commitment to identifying and upholding the rights of indigenous people
- Maintain or enhance high conservation values of the forest and apply a precautionary approach to do so.
We fully agree with the objectives set forward by the FSC, as such we endeavour to use FSC approved products wherever possible. We guarantee that all our stationery paper and card is sourced from a FSC certified forest.
