Me Loovely Announcement - Neil Simone, our first Featured Artist

Me Loovely Collaborates With First Featured Artist Neil Simone

Here at Me Loovely, we always have our eyes and ears open for new art opportunities to bring beautiful imagery to our customers. We’re really excited to announce that amongst our first collections is a collaboration with internationally renowned artist Neil Simone.

The Me Loovely Art Collection

Not content with providing cards and stationery containing beautiful graphic imagery for you to connect with your loved ones by mail, we developed a collection of prints that can be purchased in various formats and sizes to display in your home or office. You’ll see from our collection that we’ve curated some beautiful images and we’re aiming to add to our collections along the way, bringing you a wide range of beautiful artwork to add something special to your home.

Why Neil Simone?

Neil is an artist who we truly admire. Born in London, after studying Graphic Design and Display there, Neil visited Yorkshire for work, becoming involved in an exhibition for MOTEC in North Yorkshire. While there, Neil became fascinated with the austere beauty of the Yorkshire countryside and it is this that compelled him to move to Harrogate, where he has remained for over thirty years, creating beautiful, compelling imagery of the countryside that now surrounds him. Neil himself describes his work as ‘a personal vision, ambiguous enough to invite interpretation and an alternative view of reality’.

Neil’s paintings are works of art that truly inspire the imagination of people from all walks of life, and such is his popularity, it has led him to appearances on screen and in print in the UK and overseas. Exhibited in galleries across the globe, his work is sought after by private collectors and galleries worldwide. Much of Neil’s early works in limited edition print has become so highly collectable that they have long since sold out, with collectors increasingly placing a greater value on them.

Connected By More Than Just Art

Our collaboration with Neil seemed somewhat inevitable since there are several parallels between us. Neil moved to Yorkshire from London many years ago, while Lynda did the reverse -  moving from Yorkshire to London at a similar time. In addition to this, Neil’s first wife was called Linda. Before leaving London, Neil lived in Harrow, where we now live, and Neil was, in fact, rejected by Harrow School of Art when he was young – a decision we’re sure they now regret.

The Collection

Our Neil Simone Collection features 25 selected works, all of which are available in different sizes and formats. While some feature the Yorkshire countryside, complete with trees and rolling hillsides, others concentrate on the Yorkshire coast, with some interesting depictions of the wildlife that can be found there, all in Neil’s indomitable style.

And we know that to do these images true justice, we must only use the best ink, equipment and paper. Only by doing this can we truly achieve a print with the beauty of the original artwork for display in your home or office. We use Giclee (zhee-KLAY) professional printing especially suited to Fine Art prints and fade-resistant pigment inks with smooth and vibrant colour transition to truly bring the image to life in the form most similar to that achieved by the artist.

We also know the importance of the paper quality we use for non-giclee prints. For our A2, A3 and A4 open edition print collections, we use premium quality Innova Fine Art Paper. Our A5 and A6 cards, available as a collection set of five are laser printed onto Munken 300gsm paper.
